CDD Reliance and Outsourced Verification Agreement
About this document
Two tools. Part A is a written agreement under which another regulated person agrees that you may rely on its customer due diligence, provides the CDD information immediately and supplies copies of the identification and verification documents within two working days of request (regulation 39). Part B is a checklist for appointing and overseeing a third-party identity verification provider, which is outsourcing rather than reliance.
The document is laid out in the sections below. Each one comes with a plain-English guidance note explaining what it does and what to change.
Our templates are professionally structured starting points for UK businesses, not legal advice. For anything complex, unusual or high-value, have your final version checked by a solicitor.
