CDM 2015 Client Duties Letter, Appointments and F10 Checklist
About this document
Under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM), clients have legal duties and, where there is more than one contractor, must appoint a principal designer and principal contractor in writing. Many small clients do not know this. This pack lets you explain the duties, record the appointments and check notification.
The document is laid out in the sections below. Each one comes with a plain-English guidance note explaining what it does and what to change.
Our templates are professionally structured starting points for UK businesses, not legal advice. For anything complex, unusual or high-value, have your final version checked by a solicitor.
