Lone Working Policy for Home Care

About this document

What it’s for

A lone working policy written specifically for home care and live-in or night care, covering risk assessment of each home, visit planning, electronic call monitoring, check-in and escalation times, personal safety, driving, animals, aggression, and what to do if a person does not answer or is found unwell. It sits alongside the general Lone Working Policy and Risk Assessment in the Health and safety pack.

When to use it

  • For all home care, outreach, live-in and night workers
