Construction Estimating, Retentions & Valuations

Overview

For builders, groundworkers and trades who price jobs and get paid by monthly valuation. Build an estimate from labour, materials, plant and subcontract rates, add overheads, profit and contingency to get a tender price, then record variations and valuations as the job progresses. Each valuation works out retention (reducing at practical completion), the CIS deduction on the labour element only, VAT or the domestic reverse charge, and the amount due – and tracks what has been paid, what is overdue and when each half of the retention should be released.
