Credit Control Tracker – Lite

Overview

Every unpaid invoice is your money in someone else's bank account. This Lite edition keeps a simple register of your customers and invoices, records what has been paid against each invoice, ages the debt, checks credit limits and recommends the next chasing step for every overdue invoice – then prints a reminder letter in your own words. A one-page dashboard shows what you're owed, debtor days and who to chase today.

Who it is for

Made for people like you

  • Example – text
  • Small businesses selling on credit – A clear list of who owes what and how late it is – without accounting software reports.
  • Owners who do their own chasing – A recommended next step for every overdue invoice, so nothing slips through and chasing escalates at the right pace.
  • Bookkeepers and office managers – Aged debtors by customer, credit limit checks and a reminder letter ready to print.
  • Your accountant or lender – An aged debtor listing and debtor days at any report date.
  • Lite or full version? – The full Credit Control Tracker adds a separate payments log (part payments and money on account), a chase log with promises to pay, a statutory late payment interest and compensation calculator, printable statements, three chase letters, a daily action list, cash expected and room for 200 customers and 1,500 invoices. It is available from AML Consultancy Solutions – amlconsultancysolutions.co.uk.

Quick start

Up and running in minutes

  1. Example – text
  1. Settings – Enter your business details (they print on the letter), your default credit terms and the report date. Check the six chasing steps and edit the letter wording if you like.
  2. Customers – Add each customer you sell to on credit, with their credit limit and – if different from your default – their payment terms.
  3. Invoices – Add every unpaid invoice (and, if you want payment history and debtor days, recent paid ones too): number, customer, date and amount including VAT.
  4. Record payments – When money comes in, type the total paid so far in 'Paid £' and the date in 'Date paid'. The balance, status and ageing update instantly.
  5. Chase – Each day, look at the Dashboard's Chase today list or the Invoices sheet's 'Recommended next step'. After each chase, update 'Last chase' and 'Chased on'.
  6. Send a letter – On the Letter sheet, pick the customer and print – it lists their overdue invoices and the total.
