Making Tax Digital for sole traders and landlords – are you in, when do you start and are you ready?
Secure checkout. Your download link is sent as soon as payment clears.

Making Tax Digital (MTD) for Income Tax changes how sole traders and landlords deal with HMRC. Instead of one tax return a year, you keep digital records in compatible software, send a short summary every quarter and then file your tax return through the same software. It started on 6 April 2026 for people with qualifying income over £50,000 and is widening to £30,000 from April 2027 and £20,000 from April 2028. This workbook tells you whether and when you're in, lays out every deadline for your first two MTD years, checks how ready you are, estimates what it will cost and lets you practise keeping digital records before you start.
