Mobile Phone, Camera and Device Policy

About this document

What it’s for

The EYFS requires your safeguarding policy to cover the use of mobile phones, cameras and other electronic devices with imaging and sharing capabilities. This policy sets clear rules for staff, students, volunteers, visitors and parents, covers setting devices, learning journal apps, social media, smart watches and children’s screen use, and includes agreement forms.

When to use it

  • As part of your safeguarding policy and staff induction
  • When visitors, contractors and parents come on site
  • When introducing new devices, apps or smart toys
