Remote Access and Home Working Security Policy

About this document

What it’s for

The security rules for working away from the office: how staff connect to your systems, how they secure their home set-up, what to do on public Wi-Fi and when travelling or working abroad, and how to protect conversations, screens and paper. It complements your HR hybrid working policy, which covers contracts, hours and wellbeing.

When to use it

  • For anyone who works from home, on the move, at client sites or abroad – even occasionally
  • When setting up remote access, VPNs or supplier remote support
  • When someone asks to work from another country
