Table Booking and No-Show Deposit Terms

About this document

What it’s for

Terms and conditions for table reservations made online, by phone or in person, including when you take a deposit or card details to protect against no-shows. They are written to meet consumer law on fair terms and transparent pricing, including the drip pricing rules under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024.

When to use it

  • On your website and booking platform, and in booking confirmation emails
  • When you introduce deposits or no-show charges for groups, peak dates or tasting menus
  • When reviewing how service charges and booking fees are shown to customers
